I think the new Vegeta + Nappa are great, but they have 1 MONSTER issue we will constantly feel. Nappa’s powerful active skill needing a Saiyan Saga ally on rotation to be used.
I feel like they are probably gonna just drop EZA Raditz and call it a day despite there being like 8 good Saiyan Saga EZA candidates.
My biggest issue with 2026 Dokkan is how massively stingy with EZAs they have been.

@JacobSBrowning @CentroLeaks All they had to do was release the game for $10? $20? And have it include infinite box and rewards and all the bells and whistles. People will always buy it as it is the format for competitive going forward. But they chose the greedy route. Again.

@JacobSBrowning @CentroLeaks I know you can do stuff for free. But if what I am reading is correct, to get stuff people care about with the free method, you have to grind an unbelievable amount. Locking mega stones behind online season rewards was gross enough in ZA. Looks like it is continuing.

@hananekoinunegi @Re_WeiWei @itspukapuka Oh yeah, the puns. Sometimes if I’m watching tv or playing a game, and come across one like that, I’ll go and look up the English ver just to see what they did to get through that untranslatable conundrum. (I speak fluent English and Japanese for context).

There’s a later scene where the main character is searching for Mukuro, while another character says she found a corpse, causing a brief misunderstanding.

Professional translators still fucked up the entire ending of kingdom hearts 3 the word professional doesn't mean anything here when the fanfic issue comes mostly from official translations 😭😭😭

@hananekoinunegi @Re_WeiWei @itspukapuka In that sense, the 1000+ random villager lines throughout the game are simply more enjoyable in the world clearly modeled to have a Portuguese port town, and a Scottish castle town. The story portions are of course best in the native JP, but the localizers add a lot to the world.

@hananekoinunegi @Re_WeiWei @itspukapuka Pretty common in English versions of DQ now. A Scottish town and Portuguese flavor town, whatever. JP is like Kansai dialect, maybe country side flavor town, and then like random inflections at the end of sentences for the rest. And that is the extent of Japanese variety often.

@itspukapuka why he says. But seeing as it’s apparent Nomura had them say the same phrase intentionally, they should’ve chosen a middle ground phrase and streamlined it.
And to go back to the pronoun thing, Japan doesn’t use he she much. So I think overall KH does fine considering.

@itspukapuka I’m not sure if the bit of Hercules in KH3 and Riku for instance was just a failure to catch the reference in the localization, or a purposeful choice. They both say “precious person.” To Herc, it is the one he loves. But in American English it’s not outlandish for Riku to say

@prattprattpratt But for who knows what reason it doesn’t release until the 24th. How often does that happen? Where the world premiere occurs in a country, and then that country doesn’t publicly premiere the movie until 3 weeks after the world lol.
