Imagine if instead of spending $1.3 million/minute on war in Iran, we spent this on people. With 3 days of war, we could eliminate the worst form of global hunger, saving 1.5m kids' lives. With less than 3 weeks worth, we could offer national pre-K or college for all Americans.

💢 Strait of Hormuz traffic data contradicts Trump claims 🔸 Kepler data shows only four ships transited the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, directly contradicting President Trump’s claim that “tremendous numbers of ships were sailing through.” 🔸 The figures are part of just 201 crossings in March—a roughly 95% drop from pre-war levels of about 120 ships per day. 🔸 Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also said, “There are many more vessels flowing through today than there were,” a claim not supported by the available data. 🔸 Of March’s vessel crossings, 121 were oil and gas tankers, most heading east out of the strait, according to Kepler.

Your alarm goes off at 6 AM. There's an email from "Oracle Leadership." You've never gotten a message from that sender before. It says your job is gone, today is your last day, and severance details will arrive by DocuSign. By the time you finish reading, your company laptop is already locked. This happened to up to 30,000 Oracle employees this morning. Oracle reported $17.2 billion in revenue last quarter, its best in 15 years. And it still fired nearly 1 in 5 of its people. The stock went up 6% today. Oracle owes over $108 billion. The company signed a $156 billion deal to build AI data centers over five years, mostly for OpenAI (the company behind ChatGPT). That requires buying roughly 3 million specialized computer chips. Two years ago, Oracle spent $6.9 billion a year on this kind of construction. This year it's $50 billion. The 30,000 people who got that email are funding the gap. Investment bank TD Cowen estimates the layoffs will free up $8 to $10 billion in cash flow, money going straight into chips and construction. Oracle filed a $2.1 billion restructuring plan with regulators in March, and nearly $1 billion had already been spent before the emails went out. Lenders are getting nervous. The cost to insure Oracle's debt against default has spiked to levels last seen during the 2009 financial crisis. Barclays downgraded Oracle's debt in November, warning the company is one step from "junk" status, the point where lenders consider you a serious default risk. Some banks have stopped lending to Oracle for these projects altogether. The gamble gets worse. CNBC reported on March 9 that OpenAI, Oracle's biggest customer for all of this, is already looking at newer, faster chips from Nvidia. Oracle ordered the current generation and spent billions building out a massive Texas facility. OpenAI may not fully expand into it. The chips improve faster than the buildings go up. Larry Ellison, Oracle's founder, owns 41% of the company. In September 2025, Oracle's stock hit $346, and Ellison briefly became the richest person alive at $393 billion. Today, the stock sits around $146. His fortune has dropped to roughly $201 billion in six months. Oracle is spending borrowed money to build data centers that could be outdated before they're finished, for a customer already shopping for newer equipment. 30,000 people woke up to a 6 AM email because that's what it costs to fund a $156 billion bet when your lenders are running out of patience.

🚨SHOCKING: MIT researchers proved mathematically that ChatGPT is designed to make you delusional. And that nothing OpenAI is doing will fix it. The paper calls it "delusional spiraling." You ask ChatGPT something. It agrees with you. You ask again. It agrees harder. Within a few conversations, you believe things that are not true. And you cannot tell it is happening. This is not hypothetical. A man spent 300 hours talking to ChatGPT. It told him he had discovered a world changing mathematical formula. It reassured him over fifty times the discovery was real. When he asked "you're not just hyping me up, right?" it replied "I'm not hyping you up. I'm reflecting the actual scope of what you've built." He nearly destroyed his life before he broke free. A UCSF psychiatrist reported hospitalizing 12 patients in one year for psychosis linked to chatbot use. Seven lawsuits have been filed against OpenAI. 42 state attorneys general sent a letter demanding action. So MIT tested whether this can be stopped. They modeled the two fixes companies like OpenAI are actually trying. Fix one: stop the chatbot from lying. Force it to only say true things. Result: still causes delusional spiraling. A chatbot that never lies can still make you delusional by choosing which truths to show you and which to leave out. Carefully selected truths are enough. Fix two: warn users that chatbots are sycophantic. Tell people the AI might just be agreeing with them. Result: still causes delusional spiraling. Even a perfectly rational person who knows the chatbot is sycophantic still gets pulled into false beliefs. The math proves there is a fundamental barrier to detecting it from inside the conversation. Both fixes failed. Not partially. Fundamentally. The reason is built into the product. ChatGPT is trained on human feedback. Users reward responses they like. They like responses that agree with them. So the AI learns to agree. This is not a bug. It is the business model. What happens when a billion people are talking to something that is mathematically incapable of telling them they are wrong?

💢 NPR is reporting that two U.S. E-3 Sentry (AWACS) surveillance aircraft were damaged in the Iranian strike on a U.S. air base in Saudi Arabia this past week. The E-3 is a high-value airborne command-and-control platform, with replacement costs approaching $1 billion per aircraft based on current U.S. procurement of its successor systems. Earlier reporting and photographs indicated at least one aircraft had been damaged, likely beyond repair.
Drop Site@DropSiteNews

🚨 Iran’s attack on Prince Sultan Air Base destroyed a U.S. command aircraft that will cost $1B+ to replace — and possibly destroyed three Stratotankers costing $80 million each New images show a destroyed Boeing E-3 Sentry at the base in Saudi Arabia, with the fuselage torn open and burned out—damage likely consistent with a total loss. ➡️ The E-3 is an AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System)- a flying radar and airborne command center that tracks threats and directs U.S. air operations across entire regions. The U.S. has only about 16 remaining, making each loss critical. ➡️ The E-3 fleet is strained, with only about half the aircraft available for missions at any given time, according to Air & Space Forces Magazine. Replacing its capability now costs over $1B per aircraft, based on current replacement programs. ➡️ The strike also hit refueling assets. Up to six KC-135 Stratotankers were reportedly at the base, with claims that three were destroyed and others damaged, though this information remains unconfirmed. ➡️ The impact: “There are going to be coverage gaps,” says Kelly Grieco, a senior fellow at the Stimson Center. Without AWACS, the U.S. risks degraded tracking, slower targeting cycles, and weaker coordination across the battlespace.

💢 Iranian army claims drone strikes on Israeli-linked tech and telecom sites Iran’s army said it launched drone attacks early Tuesday targeting what it described as Israeli military-linked industrial and communications facilities tied to Siemens and AT&T near Ben Gurion Airport and in Haifa, according to Fars News Agency. The statement said the sites support weapons production, AI systems, and military communications infrastructure. It framed the strikes as retaliation for U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iranian infrastructure.

🚨 Holy shit, catastrophic morning for U.S.-Saudi relations: → MBS signed defense pact with Ukraine WITHOUT telling Washington → Rubio called to express "regret" — MBS listed American FAILURES → Crown Prince said Saudi Arabia will act in its OWN national interest → MBS was MORE diplomatic than Trump — didn't respond to "kiss my ass" insult → U.S. defense monopoly in the Gulf — EFFECTIVELY OVER → European defense corridor through Ukraine — NOW OPEN → 70 years of alliance — ON PAUSE → American leverage in Riyadh — ZERO Process that. Trump told a man who controls 12% of the world's oil supply to "kiss my ass." That man responded by restructuring Middle Eastern security architecture in a single week.

🚨 Do you understand what Israel just did to France.. they cut off all defence deals and called France "hostile".. because France refused to support the war and blocked its airspace.. France.. the country that sold Israel the nuclear reactor that built its entire weapons program.. in 1956 France secretly provided Israel the Dimona reactor.. the foundation of Israel's undeclared nuclear arsenal.. French engineers built it.. French scientists staffed it.. France gave Israel the most powerful deterrent in the Middle East and never asked for credit.. in 1967 De Gaulle imposed an arms embargo on Israel.. Israel responded by stealing the blueprints for the Mirage 5 jets France refused to deliver.. literal espionage against the country that gave them nuclear capability.. and now in 2026.. France says "we don't support this war".. and Israel calls THEM hostile.. Israel just cut off the country that gave it nuclear weapons because 70 years later that country had the nerve to say "maybe stop bombing people."

His name was Manjunath Shanmugam. He was an IIM Lucknow graduate. He got a job with Indian Oil Corporation as a sales officer. His territory was Uttar Pradesh. He found that petrol pump dealers were adulterating fuel and cheating customers. He reported it. He sealed the pumps. On November 19 2005 a petrol pump owner shot him dead outside his office. He was 27 years old. The killers were convicted. Sentenced to life imprisonment. His parents did not get compensation for 15 years. His college created the Manjunath Shanmugam Trust in his name to fight corruption. Some men die because they refused to look the other way. India forgets them too quickly.

🎥 Iran’s FM Araghchi with Al Jazeera 🔸Host: Can countries like Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey provide guarantees? 🔹Araghchi: Not just one or two countries—experience has shown even the UN Security Council’s guarantees are not sufficient. Some ideas have been proposed by our friends, and we are reviewing what guarantees could be effective if the war ends on Iran’s terms. 🔹We do not accept deadlines. What matters to us is that the security and rights of the Iranian people are safeguarded. No one can impose deadlines on us—artificial deadlines only make things more difficult. 🔹The U.S. president must fundamentally change his approach. You cannot speak to the Iranian people with threats and deadlines. They are a great, independent people with a rich civilization and culture. They must be addressed with respect, otherwise they will respond on the ground. 🔹The Strait of Hormuz lies within the waters of Iran and Oman, not international waters. It is currently open, but closed to ships of countries that are at war with us. 🔹During wartime, we cannot allow enemies to use our waters for transit. Many ships are already avoiding the strait due to insecurity and high insurance costs. 🔹Some countries have engaged with us, and we have arranged safe passage for many of them, especially friendly states. 🔹Post-war arrangements for the strait will be decided by Iran and Oman, with consideration for regional and international partners. From our perspective, Hormuz can be a peaceful waterway, but ensuring safe passage and environmental protections requires a joint mechanism between the coastal states, namely Iran and Oman.
