How difficult is it to get a men’s basketball D1 scholarship today? *Transfer portal players: 4,300+ *Available JUCO players: 3,800+ *Available NAIA transfers: 1,000+ *Total available: 9,100+ transfers Division 1 scholarship spots currently open: 2,178 approx. Additionally, there are thousands of high school players who are still available. The route from high school player to college graduate has never been more difficult to navigate for young adults and their families.
