@DebbieKassa @SouthDallasFood Haggis? Scotland's iconic dish made from a sheep's heart, liver, and lungs minced with oatmeal, onions, suet, and spices, traditionally cooked inside the animal's stomach. A must for Burns Night.

@RevRichardColes BP- John Noakes was always doing silly things, like taking a dip in the serpentine in white budgie smugglers, or the out of control campfire in the studio with 100 brownies and girl guides that had to be put out by the fire brigade.

@history99917180 After three tries at neighbourhood policing models during my time I’d say what a marvellous idea - it’s so good it won’t have to be radically changed to meet some other priority two years later. Of course, lawyers know best.

Blimey. This is such a remarkable idea. This is why I could never get promoted beyond skipper. This is top level, degree educated approach to policing. All those Friday nights when I’d sit in the nick thinking ‘what shall we do tonight’? Well played. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@andy_coles I have already shared it round local poetry + writing groups on FB and will certainly do that again. Chap to chat to at @peterboroughtel is probably Brad Barnes. I'll mention it to Carol who does some writing stuff on Radio Cambs.

@history99917180 Good old Wicksteed Park rides. I spent many a day on the rocking horse, the carousels and the climbing frames. Ended up working there as a student. If you think this is a safety nightmare, check out their high swings from the 1920s…

While my brothers were in a jungle somewhere I faced up to the jungle of Peterborough City council bureaucracy, co-presenting a petition to save Woodston Library. I think we’ve got concessions. Meeting with officials next week might make things clearer! m.facebook.com/groups/4035262…?

Profound words from Rev Richard. He's the sort of person who I would love to have a conversation with. Such a likable man and a great musician. #ImACeleb #imacelebrity #imacelebrity2024

What on earth are you supposed to watch after Schitt's Creek? Recently finished my second run-through and it's just perfect. Contemplating a rewatch of Parks and Recreation to fill the void, but there must be something equally wholesome out there that I haven't already seen?

@Lizzy11268 Mystery detective books from the school library, where intrepid boy detectives solve crimes - they were leather bound with different coloured question marks on the spine. Not the Hardy Boys but I’m unable to remember the series. I loved them. Also Pere Castor’s animal stories.

I love children's books. I grew up with The Famous Five, Faraway Tree, all the school stories, my favourite being the Trebizon series. And of course horses! Anything about horses 🐎 What are your bookish childhood memories?
