this has been said but one big reason some marginalized folks turn to horror is bc it feels honest. it literalizes the experience of “finally, someone is telling the truth.” this is what it feels like to be seen as a monster. to be forced to fight to survive. to be haunted.

No one in Congress should receive a paycheck until a Speaker is chosen.

I've seen jokes about Liz Cheney as speaker, but seriously: why can't this end with 7 sane Republicans joining Democrats to elect someone who isn't totally despicable?

Why the hell anyone would vote for Republicans at this point is a goddamn mystery to me.

Republicans are in disarray because they *are* disarray. They exist to preserve the petty tyrants of the rich. They run on “government just doesn’t work” and then sabotage it so they can say they are right. Remember that every time Dems get things done.
