Do people like this? We don't do this for codex because it exists to help you and it's important that you remain the owner and accountable for your work without AI taking credit. At the same time it does mean that you can't trace how popular codex is among repos.
Yuchen Jin@Yuchenj_UW

I noticed something interesting: Claude Code auto-adds itself as a co-author on every git commit. Codex doesn’t. That’s why you see Claude everywhere on GitHub, but not Codex. I wonder why OpenAI is not doing that. Feels like an obvious branding strategy OpenAI is skipping.

@buccocapital Summarize on-demand, per user request instead of once per article.. so Grok usage numbers go up!

You can hide these !commands in html comments so people don't see them when reading the skill. The command executes without the AI even knowing about it.

Lydia Hallie ✨@lydiahallie

if your skill depends on dynamic content, you can embed !`command` in your SKILL.md to inject shell output directly into the prompt Claude Code runs it when the skill is invoked and swaps the placeholder inline, the model only sees the result!

I'm increasingly concerned that Google is not improving it's models for serious production usage and is focussed just on benchmarks.

I give it less than 6 months before Garry stops preaching LOC and starts preaching maintainable code bases. And with that one move he will go from junior engineer to a bit more senior. We watching his Eng journey live 🍿
Garry Tan@garrytan

If I can do 16k LOC per day across 3 different projects (including one open source one you can see yourself) then I think almost any technical CEO CTO pair at YC will That's the bar now

Feels like overnight my For You feed went from reduced ads (as promised with X Premium) to an ad every 4-5 posts. Massive sudden change since this morning, why even pay for Premium if the ad reduction is this inconsistent or getting worse? Anyone else noticing this? @elonmusk @premium #XPremium

Analogous story is the creation of Symphony just to have some negotiation leverage over Bloomberg pricing.

@GergelyOrosz By end of 2017, Slack launched a new enterprise scale product. Pressure on our CIO to deal and by chirpy groups of Uber employees to use Slack were relentless. But the stark difference in cost was undeniable. Shobhana used this drive a $2/user/month deal with Slack.

The flip side of this is that without a certain level of scale, you don't face sufficient variety of use cases, variety of personas, and the various tradeoffs that go with that. And so it's much harder to build that intuition.
Anvisha@anvisha

If you’re a new grad that’s trying to be a great product thinker - don’t work in big tech. Not even hot companies like OpenAI. Being a PM in a big org beats creativity out of you. You optimize for consensus and politics over product intuition. It takes years to unlearn

Hey @AmexIndia , do you know IndiaMart sends marketing emails for your brand? Emails where the unsubscribe never seems to work? Just letting you know before I start marking them as Spam!

Code generation using AI models has reached an inflection point. We’ve moved from "could this work?" to "this is clearly working… now what?" There’s a lot of conversation about the "now what?" - software company valuations, moats, engineering careers, etc. The question that keeps bothering me is more operational. When this world fully arrives, and the rate of change inside a real production system goes up by 100× or 1000×, how do we stop the system from slowly degrading and succumbing to rising disorder & tragedy of commons? I wrote an article exploring this idea and what it might mean for the role of software engineers going forward. The short version: engineers may spend less time writing features, and more time building the machinery that contains entropy. x.com/antrix/status/…

How will the US-Iran war impact markets? Oil will spike initially but how far depends on whether supply disruptions are real or perceived. Gold will see safe-haven flows but faces resistance at key technical levels. Equities will sell off on uncertainty before stabilizing as markets digest the situation and separate signal from noise. The dollar strengthens near-term on flight to safety but watch for a reversal if inflation expectations get re-anchored higher. Bonds rally on risk-off flows but watch for a reversal if inflation expectations get re-anchored higher. You just read a paragraph that said absolutely nothing. Every sentence follows the same formula: [obvious direction] + [escape clause that negates the prediction]. The truth is no one knows how this plays out. Listening to varying versions of this on CNBC for the next two weeks won’t improve your investment returns. #PSA

I find Anthropic's behavior perplexing. Anyone who does serious research with these models knows that they don't have stable desires or preferences. Tweak the question slightly and get a different answer. Note that this is a simple empirical observation about model behavior, completely separate from the question of whether models are moral agents with preferences worth respecting. Surely people at Anthropic know this. Why do they persist with this wacky stuff?
