@CRawkeen The yellow pencil you used is also an HB pencil HB is a grade of the lead and not a brand. There are H grade and B grade series. But HB is the default. Most pencils you buy are HB. To buy the other grades, you have to specify that to the seller. Signed: Former TD student

I was that guy who never used HB pencil during junior waec and wassce. I didn't like the fact that everyone had it so i used the normal yellow pencil and nobody stopped me. Now, if I want to rationalize it, the producer of HB pencil was in some kind of business arrangement with waec lol. There was no significant difference between HB and the general yellow pencil

@ECOnuoha @arckingson A dead clock is correct twice in a day. So, yes, a mid-table club can finish 3rd once in a while. Didn't Leicester once win the 'toughest' league in the world? Did that make them a top club? We no good but we dey win trophy. You are very good but enthusiastic about 3rd position

@Solyricon I jokingly tell people there are over 100 different pronunciations of my surname, especially when someone starts feeling guilty for mispronouncing it. I'll just tell them, "That's the 107th (or whatever number comes to mind) way to pronounce my surname."

@Solyricon My surname is hard for most people to pronounce. Those who have known me for about 3 decades still mispronounce it. Even those from my hometown don't pronounce it correctly. Not sure I have ever cared about people pronouncing it correctly. Just spell it right.

A girl I know stopped correcting people when they mispronounced her name. Not strangers. Coworkers. Friends. Even her manager. At first she’d say it properly. They’d laugh. “Oh it’s hard.” “Close enough.” “You know what I mean.” After a while she just nodded. Answered to whatever version they gave her. One day a new intern joined. First meeting, he asked her, “Can you say your name again? I want to get it right.” Room went quiet for half a second. She said it. Slowly. Clearly. And for some reason her voice shook. It wasn’t about the name. It was about how long she’d been shrinking to make things easier for everyone else. The wild part? It takes five seconds to learn someone’s name. It takes years to realize you let people make you smaller.

I get the sarcasm, but that’s not really what the Christian claim is about. Even Jesus said the poor would always be with us. Poverty is tied to systems, greed, corruption, broken structures. That’s human responsibility, not something faith was meant to magically erase.
Duke of Africa@Allezamani

Jesus Christ should have died to end poverty instead of sin. Because mankind is still sinning voraciously even after the death of this fictional character. So which sin did Jesus die for? 🤔🤣

@DrJoeAbah @stcsolutions MTN Fiberx even offers higher plans with higher speeds... Up to 1 Gbps, if you want and don't mind paying. However, this speed is more than fast enough for most things. And I'm saying this as a heavy internet user.

Here is an update on my MTN Fibre journey. Someone did come to my house within 15 minutes. He surveyed my property and realised that the fibre was on the other side of the street. They needed to do some civil work to bring it over to my side of the street. They promised to do everything by Wednesday. Yesterday, they came over to ask me to talk to my next-door neighbour because they needed permission to lift the interlocking tiles in front of their gate, run fibre under them, and put the tiles back. I did that. Today, they came and installed everything. I tried it and the speed was rather shocking. I mean, type a website address and it’s just there instantly! I decided to test the speed. Yep! It’s fast. Gosh, it’s fast! I hope it is stable with minimum downtimes.

Well, @MTNNG seems serious about this FibreX o. I saw a lady named Shiayet with a flier in my area and asked her whether it is now available here. She said she would come to my street to confirm that the fibre is there. I got a message from her just 10 minutes later that the fibre is indeed in my street. She then sent me a short KYC form on WhatsApp. I filled it and sent it back. In a short while, she gave me an account number to pay into, and I paid. The modem and the installation are free. There is a N25k per month option for households but I chose to go to the higher N45k per month 100 Mbps option. As soon as I paid, I got a call that they would be at my house to install it in the next 30 minutes! Dizzyingly good customer service! 🙌🏽 I hope that the internet is as good as the customer service.

My alma is celebrating its 70th anniversary soon. Been watching the posts on IG. And one thing I have looked out for is the people who are being spot lit and their student numbers. In Mayflower, your student number is a measure of your intelligence. Because when you enter secondary school, everyone is posted randomly until the end of the 1st term. The 1st term exam is used to group you into an intelligence band based on how well you did. And you get assigned a class and student number based on this. So when you see someone with a lower number, chances are there are more intelligent than you were and vice versa. The classes go from Red, Green, Blue, Gold, Silver, .... All the way to Orange or Purple, not sure. Red class will usually have the most intelligent students, followed by Green and so on. 10 classes. 60-70 students per class. I was in JSS1 Green. This classification is also not stationary. As you go into higher classes, you're re-banded based on this classification. Which means you can start as a Red and move down, or you can start as a Gold and move up. By SS1, I was in Red. SS1 was when I left because I wanted to write WAEC in SS2 and my school didn't allow it. Also I caught a nasty ailment that made it impossible to write exams. The point of this is that I have noticed that this classification has held through for most people being spotlighted. Just by looking at your student number, I can tell if you were brilliant or dull in secondary school. I have seen some of my classmates who have gone on to earn PhDs abroad. I am yet to see someone who was in Orange get spotlighted based on academic endeavours. Although, they may have gone on to build successful businesses or become a famous actor or content creator. And then there's me. Using my SS1 Red brain to sell Tokunbo. Can't make this shit up.

95% of the time when you answer this type of posts by listing your church and Pastor, you are most likely inducting your church and Pastor. I say this because if you lead a church and disciple people the way the Bible teaches, most will say you have a “god complex” or you are too demanding. If they accuse Paul of being such, they should say same of your church and Pastor too if he is doing it right. I said 95% because it is also true that some churches and their practices are weird.
Chika@ChikaUwazie

My husband and I are looking for a church home in Lagos. Somewhere that the pastor just preaches the message and doesn’t have a God complex. Please make a recommendation below 👇🏾
