We all understand the idea of the attention economy?
Meme coins are a way to tokenize attention.
The reason Doge and Pepe are successful is because they are real memes.
They don’t have huge spurts of attention, like Anita Max Wynn or Hawk Tuah, however, they recieve a constant drip of attention, due to the fact they are real memes used every day.
Why is this important?
Because in any asset, if you are not growing, you are dying.
It is better to have +1% attention every day, then +100% attention in a single day that tapers off by 1% per day.
Real memes = (1+.01)^365 = 38.4
Viral Trends = 1 + (1-.01)^364 = 1.025
In laymans terms, a meme, like Pepe, will be used in a year from now, while “memes” like Anita Max Wynn will be forgotten.
One has constant attention growth, one has constant attention decay.
However, there is a harsh truth. Real memes with constant attention growth are very rare.
They don’t grow on trees like viral trends. That is why they are valuable. Rarity and value are directly linked.
If there were many, they wouldn’t be valuable.
There are 3 real memes.
And gigachad is the biggest.
The Big One🗿
