Belonging and positioning in social groups can be more important than differentiated thinking. This motivation could also be used for positive outcomes and counter balance the negatives you mention.

I wonder how and why the human mind is so easily bent by simple, often foolish and intrinsincally incorrect stories. Why do such simple hacks work so well on our sophisticated minds? What say you @zaphodgjd @nealstephenson @GreatDismal @SStewartWriter @grossmanbooks

A somewhat pessimistic observation of human nature, story, narrative, and social media:

@Scobleizer Did you watch “Real Humans” a Swedish tv-series, asks plenty of questions we will be confronted with rel. to robots and even the question of what is “being human” strongly recommend
