โDo you want a kiss that brings with it grief and fear and danger and heartbreak?โ

"I worry... the right amount." He half-watched as the arena seats filled up with people before turning his head to her. "I just worry that we depend too much on Merlin and it's made us complacent."

"Huh. Thought he may have wanted to win to impress you or show how capable he was regardless of who is present," Mordred admitted with a nod, eyes narrowed at the seat. "This feels like a test of some sort."

Mordred nodded his head, turning his head to cast a glance at the spot the King would be sitting. "Do you think Arthur's going to join them today?" Or would he not want to with Merlin being away?

Sitting next to her and leaning his arms on the railing, observing the sparring. He's been grounded from participating in the tourney, but Merlin said nothing about watching.

"Understandable." the Knight managed, landing a delicate smile to provide some sort of comfort to her. Gwaine then darted his glance to a glimmering shine stationed in a nearby stall caused by the reflection in the sun. "Did you ever get that paint color you ~

"You should've tossed the venting ones though." he scrunched his nose in a playful act of distaste. "Those are a bit... much." He remembered being tired, grouchy from the miscommunication on the field that caused his plane to lose traction on where the fleet in ~

"Right, yeah." Gwaine added through a gentle tone. "Of course." Sapphire eyes delicately observing how the wind flowed within her hair the more they traveled on. He inhaled through his nose, straightening his back to remind himself to avoid any of the natural ~

He raised a hand over hers. A gentle smile curving a little higher as he laced his fingers in with hers. "You always know how to do that." The letter had been placed on the table in front of him before allowing his now unoccupied hand around her waist to pull her ~

He followed after her a cautious step behind her. He tried to make the distance between them notable for others so they wouldn't blabber on like he knew they would about their disappearance into town together. He could call it a civil duty with all of the other visiting ~

Gwythyr's lost in his own world. Bottom lip being chewed on at the corners as he pondered over the letter in his hand. It wasn't until he felt the petal hit the bridge of his nose, did he return to the realms of reality. He hoisted his attention up to see Gwen and the falling ~

โOh,โ he perked a delicate smile. โIf that wouldnโt be intruding on your constitutional, then yes. That would be most grand.โ

It certainly wouldn't. Even if he did wish to have a little bit of time with her without peering eyes, yet that would raise suspicions and they could not have that. Instead, Gwaine managed a steady nod of his head in accordance as he thought. "Town sounds wonderful actually."

"You're still painting?" He asked curiously, head tilted to the side to watch her. He held his hands behind him to keep them still. "That sounds like a good idea."
