If you've ever said "Sudafed sucks"- you probably took Sudafed PE. You have to ask the pharmacist for Real Sudafed (pseudoephedrine), the only one that works. PE was pushed because Sudafed thought they would lose sales by not being on the floor.

For years I have been railing against phenylephrine- an ineffective substitute for pseudoephedrine rushed to market when the latter was moved behind the counter to combat meth production. Glad to see the FDA finally taking action. nytimes.com/2023/09/12/hea…
