I understand Digital Foundry’s concern regarding visual feedback when you are attacking bosses in Star Fox.
I prefer the way this looks though. You hear that it is hitting the right spot and the health bar of the enemy goes down. No flashing character models needed.

@GrapeApe9k i think the problem for me is that i've already gotten all the older games i'm interested in during previous sales lol. so all the newer games i'm interested in are still relatively expensive and i'm still waiting for them to come down a bit more.

That's what it was like in ye olden days of gaming too. I got 1 really good game for my birthday and 1 for Christmas. Anything I got outside of that was either used copies after scrounging up change from random odd jobs or shitty budget movie tie in games. A lot of what I ended up playing were rentals.

This is good advice except for three things. First, if a pitbull is mauling a child, you should not “try everything” and wait 30 seconds before killing it. You should just kill it. That should be your first choice. Second, as she covers eventually, if you have a knife your best bet is just to stab the damned thing. Third, even if the pitbull stops mauling the child, it should still be killed, obviously.
