Floor update (Wip)

If you’re wondering what I did between the last process update & this one: slam your head against a wall as an artist for 20 years

Wip cont. Layered etching + Vector

But we don’t want that shit. What I’m looking for is to understand where the light is, where the dark is. I’m trying to limit the number of tones and set up my scene. You can’t turn an etching into this automatically, but it’s still fairly easy

Lot of people bouncing around this space not understanding the difference between a manual vector trace and an automatic trace in Illustrator or other vector progs. When you see triangles, you should be thinking it’s an automatic trace — takes 5 sec.

New scene setup for a piece called Punk Floor. Going to start with a reference and keep adding to this thread 🪢
