Earth, Wind & Fire bandleader and seven-time Grammy winner Maurice White was born on this day in 1941 in Memphis. EWF scored a yacht rock hit with “After the Love Has Gone” in 1979. The song was written by David Foster, Jay Graydon and Bill Champlin. White passed away in 2016.
