In the next 20 years, a massive chunk of software development jobs will be automated by AI. Coding alone won't be enough. That’s why I believe robotics could be a great path. It blends hardware, electronics, mechanics, software and that physical complexity makes it much harder to fully automate. Unlike pure software, robotics forces you to interact with the real world: sensors, motors, mechanical design, energy, uncertainty. Things that LLMs can’t handle alone. To me, it’s one of the few tech domains that still feel “future-proof” — not because AI won’t touch it, but because AI alone can’t fully replace the human behind the machine.
