Kildare GAA Coaching Education – Workshop Series (Workshop 2)
Kildare GAA are delighted to invite all club coaches from juvenile through to senior to the second workshop in our Coaching Education Series, taking place this Friday March 6th and Saturday March 7th.
This two day workshop delivers a high quality, practical agenda aimed at supporting coaches working across all levels of the club game in Kildare.
Friday Night – Coach Education & Performance Insights-> St Conleths 7.30PM
Friday evening will feature presentations from:
• Neil Welsh – Strength & Conditioning Coach, Kildare Senior Footballers
• Paul Divilly – Kildare GAA Talent Performance Lead
(Tactical periodisation, planning your programme around the fixture calendar and integrating athletic development into in‑season training)
• Brian Lacey – Kildare All‑Star & former Kildare Minor, U20 & Senior coach and analyst
(The role of performance analysis and statistics in the modern game)
This will be followed by a panel discussion on how performance data and statistics were used by Kildares three county championship winning team campaigns, featuring:
• Ross Bell – Athy Senior Manager
• Conor Ronan – Athy Senior Management
• Jonathan Daniels – Sallins Senior Manager
• David Conway – Grangenolvin Senior Manager
Saturday Morning – From Philosophy to Practice-> Clane GAA Club 11AM Start
Saturday morning features Stephen Rochford, former Mayo senior manager and All Ireland Club winning manager with Corofin. Stephen will deliver a practical and insightful session on:
• Designing and delivering coaching sessions that transfer to match day
• Coaching with clarity, purpose and consistency
Stephen brings his experience from guiding Corofin to All Ireland Club success in 2015 and Mayo to two All Ireland Finals in 2016 and 2017, offering invaluable insight into coaching at the highest level.
This workshop is open to all club coaches, regardless of experience and forms part of Kildare GAA’s ongoing commitment to supporting coach development and pushing coaching standards across the county.
