A rabble of younger Manley park kids up and ready for the challenge bright and early this morning! 26 adults and children from @mppsch on bikes, toddler seats, trailers and cargos on their way to @Kidicalmassmcr. They all did so well!

It was brilliant to see so many young people and their parents & carers cycling, walking and scooting to school. Great work by the volunteer marshalls. @brookburnactive @Tina4Chorlton

BREAKING @AndyBurnhamGM, pending re-election, has tonight announced the rollout of 100 permanent school streets across Greater Manchester by the end of 2028

Another day, another #SchoolStreet! It was a joy to join @BrookburnP school community yesterday morning to see the school street in action again. It all felt noticeably calmer and quieter than when the trial first started. Lots of people came to have a chat whilst I was there which was really lovely, along with all the smiles and hellos. Looking forward to reading the responses to the consultation, and seeing the seismology and Telram data, to understand what difference it has made to people’s journeys and across the local neighbourhood. #Chorlton

Great to speak with @Mo_Farah today. Mo is an inspirational athlete and tireless campaigner for children's health. We highlighted the importance of active children - with Labour's Child Health Action Plan, I'm committed to securing the healthiest generation of children ever.

Our new #schoolstreets mascot arrived nice and early, ready to marshal, this morning. Our first day back after half term was a rainy but happy and smiley one. Panda marshal needs a name. Any ideas?
