Story gold - eh silver - on a Sunday newsdesk day. The Galloway Hoard keeps on giving ...latest discovery is the country of origin of the lidded vessel that was crammed with ample treasures. It came from very far away.

🕹️An exhibition on the history of video games - and Scotland's links to the industry, is opening this weekend at the National Museum of Scotland.

Had a fantastic time checking out the Game On exhibition at @NtlMuseumsScot in Edinburgh ahead of its opening this weekend. Expect some (very serious, honest) footage of it on the VGC channel soon, but otherwise it's highly recommended for all ages.

This Roman arm guard has not been seen in full for almost 2000 years.
The only intact example of its kind, it has carefully been reconstructed by our conservators who spent weeks reassembling over 100 fragments.
