Michigan finishes their 37-3 season with a 39.70 Kenpom ranking, putting them at #2 ALL-TIME. They played their D game, with half of a Yaxel Lendeborg and won the National Championship. This team was special and 100% deserved to be the last team standing. World was on notice after Vegas.

Michigan held its last four opponents in the NCAA Tourney -- Alabama, Tennessee, Arizona and UConn -- to their lowest field goals percentages of the season. All of them. I know defense isn't always as sexy as big offensive numbers. But we just witnessed a generational defense.

Yaxel Lendeborg played 36 minutes tonight on a bad knee. He was clearly hobbled, but he showed tremendous toughness. He finished with 13 points, 9 of them coming in the 2nd half. One of the gutsiest performances you will see. What a player.

We had more talent this year in college basketball arguably than any year in history. Michigan was the clear best team this year, beating every team in the tournament comfortably. In light of that context, they have to be in the conversation as one of the greatest ever.

Final: Michigan 69, UConn 63 Michigan caps off one of the greatest tournament runs with a win over the best program in our modern era. They never really looked like losing tonight, despite UConn's best efforts.

The haters are going to be real mad when Michigan reloads in the portal while bringing in a top 2 class
