🇳🇬 EXPOSED: Nigerian Defence Minister Bello Matawalle Accused of Offering Bribe to US Official to “Change Narrative” of UN-WCD Christian Genocide Report US lawmaker Kimberly Daniels has accused Nigeria’s Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, of attempting to bribe a United States official to change the narrative of a report on killings of Christians in Nigeria. In a viral video, she said: “A US elected official was offered money by Nigeria’s minister of state defense, Bello Matawalle, to change the narrative of the UN WCD Christian genocide in Nigeria report. We will not be silenced. We will not be intimidated. The truth about what is happening to Christians in Nigeria must be told. The killings, the attacks, the destruction of communities this is not random. It is targeted, and the world needs to pay attention. We are calling for accountability at the highest levels. Leadership must be reviewed, and those responsible must be held accountable. Nigeria cannot continue like this while innocent people are being slaughtered, and the international community cannot look away.” Her statement is linked to a security assessment by the United World Congress of Diplomats, which criticised Nigeria’s handling of insecurity in Plateau, Benue, Kaduna and Nasarawa, describing a pattern of coordinated attacks on Christian communities. The report also raised concerns about Matawalle’s role and called on President Bola Tinubu to review leadership in the Defence Ministry, including the possible removal or redeployment of the minister.

🇳🇬 JUST IN: US-Based Lawmaker Calls for Redeployment of Defence Minister Matawalle, Cites “Red Flags” Kimberly Daniels, a member of the Florida House of Representatives, has called for the removal or redeployment of Bello Matawalle, citing “serious red flags” regarding his suitability for the role. In a security assessment report, Daniels raised concerns over ongoing killings in Nigeria’s North-Central and North-West regions, warning of “possible complicity within elements of the security architecture” and stressing the need to “restore the integrity of the defence ministry.” She also called for a “transparent investigation into alleged high-level complicity with banditry” and urged stronger protection for vulnerable communities. No response yet from Nigerian authorities.
