ARAB MUSLIMS IN ISRAEL As of the beginning of 2026, Israel's Muslim population is estimated to be approximately 1.81 million to 1.85 million. This represents about 18% to 18.5% of Israel's total population, which surpassed 10.1 million at the start of the year. The Muslim population has maintained a steady growth rate of approximately 2.2% as of recent reporting. In 2025, approximately 24% of all babies born in Israel (roughly 43,680 out of 182,000 total births) were to Arab mothers, the majority of whom are Muslim. Arab Muslims live and work in Israel, forming a significant part of the citizen body, along with Christians and Druze. They are fully integrated into many sectors of the Israeli economy, particularly healthcare and construction, while living primarily in their own towns or mixed cities. Arab citizens are key players in the Israeli economy. They are notably overrepresented in the pharmaceutical and nursing sectors, making up roughly one-fifth of doctors and one-fourth of nurses. They are also heavily represented in construction. Arab students study in Israeli universities and colleges, with rising numbers, particularly among women. Arab Muslims also serve in the Knesset (parliament), and in 2021, an Arab party joined the governing coalition for the first time. Arab Muslims are a vital part of Israeli society, with full voting rights and integration into the economy, Shittest ‘apartheid’ and ‘genocide’ EVER 🤪 cfr.org/backgrounders/…
