I just had a thought that the reason why anime is so popular in the West is that there are just no western cartoons targeting the same audience. For some reason, western cartoons are for children only. Then they made ATLA for slightly older audience, it took the world by storm, and they never do it again...

@Itsfoss honestly no just because how slow they move there are a lot of nice improvements that make the experience easier and more capable if anything i would put them on something like bazzite its relatively fast passed but immutable so they can't fuckup their system that bad

Epic laid off 1000 people today. I gotta give it to Tim Sweeney that this is one of the most genuine layoff emails I've seen. No "we're achieving AGI", no "we are family this will make us stronger" bs. Just being honest about underperforming and economy being tough. I wish those who got laid off to not struggle with job search too much!

I honestly believe that Vim Motions don't actually make you faster at using a text editor, and a well implemented multiple-cursor system + typical modifier keys are actually much faster in practice. Evidence: watch me program on streams with Sublime Text and judge for yourself.

The whole organ donation thing is a perfect example of a principle I've noticed, which is that the state, or really any sufficiently advanced bureaucracy, will always implement the most evil version of whatever good you're trying to accomplish. Organ donation is an incredible moral good. It costs nothing, essentially. When you die, instead of wasting your perfectly good life-saving organs, you give them away. Obviously everyone on earth should be in favor of this and absent really niche religious objections and some noetic sciencey concerns about *receiving* organs altering the personality, there's really no reason to push back on this. I know it, you know it, and everyone knows it. So then you ask yourself, "what's the worst case scenario if we move forward with this?" and it's hard to imagine! So you think and think and you come up with this absurd idea that, well, the worst case scenario is that they start stealing organs. They just fucking kill you for your organs. Because you volunteered to donate your organs in advance, there's now an incentive for you to die because your organs are in play in a way that someone who hasn't preapproved organ donation isn't. But that's so absurd. They'd never perform organ harvesting on a living patient. But of course they do. This is the real world. There was a case recently of a guy literally waking up on the table and the doctors wanted to keep going because he was legally dead and they needed those organs. It's sick stuff, but this is the reality. Whatever the messiest, most vile, just plain evilest implementation of your policy is going to be the one that's implemented. I call this method of policy analysis "Zy's Eyes Review" because it rhymes and I want something named after me. The state is a capricious djinn and you need to be very careful what you wish for and how. More often than not, you're actually better off trying to achieve your moral goal on your own as an individual instead of rubbing the lamp of state power. Good luck

Google just shipped DESIGN.md — a portable, agent-readable design system file. That's the real announcement. Everyone's covering "vibe design" and the canvas. But Stitch now has an MCP server that connects directly to Claude Code, Cursor, and Gemini CLI. Your coding agent can read your design system while it builds. Google already shipped official Claude Code skills for this. The pipeline works today. A PM describes the business objective. Stitch generates the UI. The coding agent reads DESIGN.md and builds against it. No Figma export. No spec document. No "the developer interpreted the design wrong." PRD → design → code used to be three teams and three handoffs. Now it's one loop with one context file.

@espie_openbsd @peach2k2 For system dependencies its fine cause they are usually isolated from each other. The thing is most my c projects are unity builds and there the order you include the files does actually matter

@coshi_dev @peach2k2 sorting your includes makes a lot of sense when you have more than a few of them. Avoids including the same file twice and growing your source unnecessarily (yeah, I know there are guards in place to avoid that, but that's still very sloppy)…
