@capybaroness When I saw it first-run, opening night, as the little grandparents came under the bedroom door near the very end, the film stopped in the gate and MELTED. Prints of that film are fuckin’ haunted.

@tpherndon Indispensable! Karen and I saw PART II at a midnight screening at a suburban Denver multiplex back in the early 1990s. Went in totally blind; didn’t know the series, didn’t know Tsui Hark, don’t think we even knew who Jet Li was. Changed my life.

How utterly bad-ass is this Sienkiewicz-original concept art for THE UNFORGIVEN? The key art is fine, but they should have stuck with this painting.

NOT a recreation, but an original concept painting I did (1of 7) based on Eastwood & ad agency’s hiring me to visualize ideas. Art director then reworked photos/colors to emulate the painting. Unforgiven is a brilliant film. Best part was Clint’s name for me:“That Polish Guy”
