@banky_I @PetePeppers #severance S2E10 was an extraordinary episode of TV. Not perfect but all I really would have changed was tightening the edit from minutes 40 to 60. Bonus light musical hint to a LOTR theme when Jame is saying Helena lost Kier but Kier is back within Helly

@PetePeppers @iambobbyfoster Outie Mark: "I need to save my wife" not "Ms Casey is about 2 die". Ultimately even that is 2 thin - who suspected the Lutheran guy was right? Multiple reviewers suspect Helly/ena's look at 1:13:49; Dylan's arc suggests that Irving will be seen in S3

@PetePeppers @iambobbyfoster #severance Spoilers while the S2E10 finale earned bonus points for me & I'm fine with its cliffhanger for S3, I cannot in good faith rate it 5/5; the middle 1/3 humor & violence seemed too long/cringy; a tighter edit could have been noticeably better

@PetePeppers is still my favorite recapper/analyst with #SeveranceSeason2 especially. After watching numerous creator's efforts I think S2's reference to long words & word clouds are tongue-in-cheek aimed at many Severance recaps/podcasts. Pete's score is excellent/balanced : )

@iambobbyfoster loving ur Severance ideas, I'll try to forward more ideas ltr. I think Gemma's test floor mini's r the equivalent of AI training of her chip edits 2 remove what she feels in each room. Like room-tuned noise canceling headphones. But she has learned to lie to Mauer

@PetePeppers so are the 25 worlds of pain worth it to be able to relive the 25 best memories with a lost loved one? I think maybe yes. But if it was developed by a truly evil person, maybe not

Advice from having seen episode 207 of Severance: Minimize distractions & resist the urge to pause constantly to check details. You only get one chance to see it the first time, let Jessica Lee Gagne’s pictures & Keith Fraase’s cuts carry you through the experience. Don't wait.

My only two thoughts about tonight’s #Severance: 1) LUMON is a terrible institution and we need to burn them to the ground 2) I had no idea SEVERANCE had this type of *emotionally rich* episode in their locker. Not hyperbolic to say it’s a game changer for their storytelling

@PetePeppers ?Spoiler: Ms Casey seems to be being used to test the chip for severance quality but since she seems to know Marks name on the testing floor I'm guessing she learned to lie about what she remembers when tested so she could get tiny "visits" w him on the severed floor

@PetePeppers I feel pretty confident S2 will end w Mark being stranded in the outie-verse w between 2 & 4 of his innie friends stuck below. I also predict a female character will sneeze 2x b4 the S4 finale. Tin foil says Helena is still sometimes sneaking onto the severed floor

@BenStiller So Christopher Nolan is making a version of the Odyssey. But he's going to have a tough time out-doing O Brother Where Art Thou, lol ... and Nolan's target is even tougher still -- don't forget, #severance has multiple Odyssey/Brother links ; )

@PetePeppers Severance: Irvings score feels like call out to Q-scores; Avoiding birthing pain = hi lvl use of severance, avoiding dental pain = lo lvl; Lumon makes their own doors, so naturally make their dental tools; Milchik's long session implied use of embedded punishments

@PetePeppers you've probably run into the "severance peaks" podcast (also on YouTube), but if not yet, you might find it worth checking out, especially their latest, where they got Ben Stiller on; I only found them last night

Wondering if ORTBO was a Lumon loyalty test & Irving failed. Some of his dialog felt outie/sophisticated to me so I wonder if he was partly reintegrated. Also if Helena is evil she may have used Irving to fake re-entry as Helly but my gut says Helena is eventually redeemed, so ..
