Hi everyone! I’m an architecture student at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD) currently based in the US. I love making Souls-like character and environment art and also work with 3D rendering. I’m a big fan of FromSoftware’s aesthetic. Recently I’ve been interested in finding a summer internship in the game/film industry to learn more about the field, particularly in areas like character design or environment concept design. Since my background is in architecture rather than game art, I’m not entirely sure how to prepare. I was wondering: Do game studios usually consider architecture students for internships? If I want to apply for character or environment art roles, how should I structure my portfolio? Are there any studios or companies you would recommend applying to?
