Just to clarify, the “new season” of #GeneralHospital doesn’t begin until September 2026, based on how television seasons work. In this instance, Frank Valentini is referencing “new season” in the way we all had for decades when it comes to soaps, where we were looking at anniversaries or birthdays since the shows are never off the air with no original episodes in the way “NCIS” or “Law & Order” take time off between their seasons (May-September). In soap speak, #GH just entered its 64th year on the air (April 1, 2027 it turns 64), but it is still on Season 63 per TV standards, having debuted during the 1962-1963 television season. So, Season 64 begins in September 2026. As of April 1, 2026, the show entered its 64th year on television, with its 64th birthday occurring on April 1, 2027. This same method also applies to all the other soaps, btw.

Thursday, April 02, 2026 Today's Blind Items - The Show It was a very popular show. Extremely popular. The budget was really small. Everyone loved shooting it because of the locale. The crew looked forward to it every year. The host was and still is a huge star. It ran for multiple seasons and then it just disappeared. The host seemingly disappeared from the network too. Everywhere on it and then just gone. Well, it all came down to one person. The head of the network who was married was having an affair with the host. He was obsessed with her and put her on every show he could think of or give her whatever show she wanted to do. Then, she got a boyfriend and stopped seeing the head of the network and all her opportunities went bye. She did get some revenge though when she had the wife of the network head over to her house for some tea. My was there tea spilled that day.

I would like to take a moment and thank all of the fans who have helped @GeneralHospital reach its 63rd Anniversary. Today is a very special day and celebrating it with all of you means the world to us. We have big plans going into this new season. Stay tuned. #GH

Remembering Pedro Zamora, who would’ve turned 54 this week (Feb. 29) In 1994, at the age of 22, Pedro was cast on ‘The Real World: San Francisco’, becoming one of the first openly gay men with AIDS to be portrayed in popular media.
