Conspiracy theory’s aside, I think the likely-hood that we see any Destiny news at the state of play is at most 5%. Bungie would have had to pull Savathun from the game itself to pull off a secret marketing tactic on that level. But I will still be coping cuz it’s fun.

@delmontyb Kirk, do you think it matters if D3 is more of the same? the Petition has over 330k signatures. People want more Destiny. every expansion could literally be the same formula as The Witch Queen and people would be playing in mass. he is delustional if he thinks D3 wouldnt be a hit

If Playstation greenlights Bungie to make Destiny 3, what are some storylines, features/ gameplay options, and grinds you would like to see implemented? @PlayStation

I do think Destiny 3 is going to be greenlit late this year by Playstation. HOWEVER… I believe a few things will happen first. 🔵PlayStation will do these large layoffs that I and others have spoke about at Bungie. 🔵It is well known that PlayStation does not like the culture at Bungie, they will change that first. 🔵They will have much more strict target deadlines and oversight since we are talking a $500-$600 million dollar project... at least. 🔵The project director will likely be handpicked by PS leadership rather than Bungie doing it. 🔵I think they will be forced to use a more agile engine like Decima. Decima handles shooters well, so it can do it. 🔵Will need to be a compelling format, as Destiny 2 has had significant content issues in recent years (game has been around awhile). I am sure there are more.

Will continue to focus on Monument of Triumph, but wanted to take a moment to praise the team on Marathon. Very, very excited for S2 tomorrow. The team is continuing to build upon the experience and rapidly pull in player feedback. It’s been so damn cool to see things as they evolve. Rooting for the team, every moment of every day. Will see some of y’all on Tau Ceti tomorrow, and back in Tower on June 9. 💛

Mark my words. We are getting more Destiny. Eventually. It's obvious. But it isn't any time real soon. Especially with all of this community outrage, we will get it. But they want to let the hype build up. If they let this hype build over a year, maybe more.. 🤯 #WeWantDestiny

I have hardly posted anything here in the entire existence of this account. But with the Destiny news, this is something I am heavily passionate about. I see so many people spamming #SaveDestiny and #WeWantDestiny that I have been inspired to post about this every day.

@Mapocolops I've always understood the sentiment of vaulting old content to not overwhelm new players. Like having every seasonal activity would be nuts. But vaulting the campaigns? I never understood that. Vault the old seasonals, fine. But the campaigns? #WeWantDestiny #SaveDestiny

Man it’s really sinking in how I’ve been waiting like 7 years to properly face off against Xivu Arath If we ever do get a Destiny 3, it needs to be her to set the tone man… I’m getting real bummed out I can’t just freely revisit past expansion/seasonal story content even more than before, everybody who has ever played Destiny deserves to play the full story in it’s entirety from D1 to Monument of Triumph. If that was possible I’d be starting from scratch and going all the way through again 😭

Sony, it's not hard. We don't even need an official announcement. Just give us confirmation the IP will live on. It can literally just be a tricorn and say "We will live on". That would immediately let players know that playing Marathon won't harm Destiny's future. #SaveDestiny

@RyGilliam I agree. Especially with the rumored layoffs, there would be no way anything is announced for a while. But I still think this could all make a difference for the future.

I love y’all, and I’m glad you’re keeping the dream alive. Show up for Destiny on June 9. Spend money on Silver if you’re able to. Gift expansions on friends. I think it could make a difference! But PLEASE do not anticipate anything Destiny at State of Play or SGF!
