When my new housemates keep asking me EVERY DAY I have the same internal dialogue of whether ignoring the question, answering it truthfully, or fudging an acceptable answer is rudest. I think I alternate on no discernible pattern.

Be warned that when asking an autistic person how they are, there is a strong risk they might actually tell you. Some of us have a reflex response of (or along the lines of) “good, thank you, you?” that we release however we feel, but some of us are programmed to answer honestly.
