The UK Met Office has again been caught publishing temperatures from weather stations that don't exist. An FOI revealed Lowestoft closed in 2010, yet the Met Office kept issuing official temperatures for it. The office said they were using well-correlated neighboring stations, but the FOI revealed that this was a lie. The numbers were actually coming from a model that was inventing data from 'phantom' neighboring stations. When exposed, the office quietly deleted years of readings for Lowestoft, as well as a number of other stations, and added a disclaimer saying their data is "for general interest only." FOIs also show over one third of Met Office stations never existed, and that real high-quality sites like Colwood are ignored. Also, more than 80% of the network is low-grade class 4 or 5, by WMO standards, giving 2-5C uncertainty. This is the foundation of the UK's climate record – closed stations, imaginary stations and synthetic temperatures. The Met Office isn't credible.

Kudos to the New York Post for being the only major outlet to get this right. The SPLC were paying the leaders. By definition, leaders cannot be informants. They run the operation. It is like paying the leader of Auschwitz to inform on who is carrying out the gassings instead of paying him to stop the gassings. It is perhaps the most grotesque, cynical, and pernicious racket ever devised. Of course, plenty of groups extract money from taxpayers and well-meaning donors off problems they inflate, but this is far worse because it breeds real hatred and manufactures racial division to keep the grift alive.

8 hate group leaders — including KKK Imperial Wizard and neo-Nazi — got millions from SPLC as part of ‘informant’ scheme, DOJ says. Read today's cover here: trib.al/gl06n1w

Glad to share a freshly submitted paper (now under peer review) from the VASCO team, led by Prof. Steve Bruehl. We use machine learning to separate likely real transients from plate defects in a sample of 107,875 events. If correlations were spurious, they should weaken as artifacts are removed. Well...they don’t. Instead, the correlations strengthen as the sample gets cleaner. We see: (1) Stronger Earth shadow deficit (2) Stronger nuclear-test correlation (3) Highest in the highest-probability (cleanest) subset These results supports a real, previously unrecognized population of transient phenomena in historical plates. Read the paper: arxiv.org/pdf/2604.18799 With this paper, we also welcome independent researcher Brian Doherty (@BrianDoher37387 ) into our team. Comments & feedback welcome.

New aerial imagery has revealed the desolation being carried out by the Albanese government in what a leading conservationist has called an “abhorrent” push to make way for renewable projects in regional Queensland. skynews.com.au/business/energ…

Yes, it’s real $5.5M for a “House of India” in QLD. No, it won’t change our $1T debt. But that’s not the point. This is how modern politics works: targeted funding → targeted communities → targeted votes. The cost isn’t the sum total of the issue, it’s just as much about who gets funded and who doesn’t and why.

Trump seems to have unilaterally extended the ceasefire, yet the IRGC has not stopped targeting Kurdish Iranian camps in the Kurdistan Region in Iraq. The footage is from today, and nobody is talking about it.
