The worst call I got during my weekend stroke call was from my twin sister working as a nocturnist saying there was an active shooter on her floor at her hospital 😭 Another reason we need to revamp gun reform! #GUNviolence #MedTwitter #EnoughIsEnough

@MKIttlesonMD Hospitalist: How much could you walk last Christmas before getting short of breathe? How about now? - I’ve learned to use big dates like birthdays/holidays/previous big surgeries helps people accurately recall history.

Anyone know if you can rent @onepeloton for like a year? I want to join but I know I’ll be ready for some other workouts after a while and don’t want to commit to owning the bike. #medpeloton

Shame on @PDdancing, @SohailKhan, and @BeingSalmanKhan for creating such a disgrace of a movie. I get yall want to make $, but do you really think the audience was going to rave about the garbage yall put together just because we all are in a pandemic? #RadheReview #BoycottRadhe

Today was one of my first encounters where a patient told me their preferred pronouns. They also said I was the only one they felt comfortable telling. How can we make this part of our culture? #MedTwitter #pronouns #Equality

Patient who received her first Pfizer vaccine then was admitted to the hospital missed the second dose on 4/7. Still inpatient now has developed sepsis. Start her vaccine series over or get second dose after completing antibiotics? #IDtwitter #MedTwitter #COVID19Vaccine #Pfizer

@Stanford_HTN @kidney_boy @CardioNerds L renal artery stenosis was 3 years ago, right stenosis discovered on this hospital course.
English

@doc_shells @kidney_boy @CardioNerds What is the time window? Assuming you have old ultrasounds when investigating left renal artery so you have a time stamp for when right sided lesion started...
English

Patient with history of previous L renal artery stenosis s/p stent now presenting with HTN emergency and found to have R renal artery stenosis. Would you continue ACE inhibitor? @kidney_boy @CardioNerds #medtwitter #nephrology #hypertension
English

@hswapnil @doc_shells @kidney_boy @CardioNerds @DrJMLuther @thebyrdlab Agree it's the drug of choice if unilateral disease. Is this FMD or atherosclerotic RAS?
English

@doc_shells @kidney_boy @CardioNerds Assuming left renal artery is open - ACEi is perfect for hypertension
I would not stop it as it would make BP control harder
(Unless you have rising creatinine - in which case it may be a sign left artery is also closing up)
cc @DrJMLuther @thebyrdlab for other takes
English

@doc_shells @CardioNerds Thank you so much for saying that @doc_shells! Feeling very grateful for @ljlaffin's teaching, both on @CardioNerds and in real life 🙏

@CardioNerds the hypertension episode is great. Much needed for all inpatient & outpatient providers. Appreciated the discussion on who should be treated aggressively vs conservatively. #hypertension #MedTwitter
