Showing a Brahmin character with flaws is actually more realistic than portraying them as one-dimensional caricatures of piety. 5. In reality, Bauaa’s journey in Zero is about redemption. He starts as a man who blames the world (and his father) for his problems and ends up making a massive sacrifice. 6. You cannot have a character growth arc if the character starts off perfect. 7. Art is allowed to portray bad behavior. Watching a character be rude to his father isn't an attack on a religion or a lifestyle it’s a portrayal of a specific, disgruntled individual. If we only allowed perfect characters on screen, Shah Rukh Khan would never have been able to play legendary roles like Devdas or Baazigar.
