We have the country we have because that’s the way the people in the country want it. The occupant in the Oval is doing what y’all want. It can be stopped whenever the people in the country want it to stop. No excuses.

We have the country we have because the people have been brainwashed to want what the oligarchs want. The Oval occupant is an unpredictable, lawless, felon clerk. It can be stopped when the people re-activate their brains and power.

The Target Boycott is NOT over for thousands of shoppers. Jamal Bryant does speak for me or anyone of significance. No one I know appointed him to end what he did not start.

Happy Black American (BA) #HistoryMonth365! #BAHistoryisAmericanHistory, inextricably intertwined. My ancestors were born in America before it was a nation. We are uniquely American; different from the black diaspora & their ancestors born outside the U.S. We are foundational.

@Noproblama5 @ANTHONYBLOGAN That is also true and I identify that way whether America wants to continue these racial categories or not. It’s the “American Way” to divide people. We did not create that system.

I do not identify as African-American because I'm not. I am a black American, born and raised by other black Americans with a lineage going back to the 1600s in Virginia.

@MatNuclear @ANTHONYBLOGAN Africans and the diaspora, in 🇺🇸, can use their country and hypen as Europeans do. Black Americans, (hypen unnecessary) w/ancestors dating back b4 🇺🇸 was born, distinguish/delineate themselves. Others may have “dark” skin too. All skin folk are not kin folk. Not simple.

@ANTHONYBLOGAN Yes, there are cultural and national distinctions between the black race, but it doesn’t mean you aren’t black, you’re still black. You’re simply black with a different culture and nationality.

Instead of comparing America to 1930’s Germany, it is more useful to compare today with America’s history of systemic violence, dating back to the 1500’s. Apples to apples might provide better answers to combat today’s sanctioned violence. Revisit our history.

@blacktwiterthrd The picture is to counteract racist propaganda that Black men are not involved with their kids. The saddest thing is even some of our own remain mind shackled. Plural = Dads; possessive = Dad’s.

People who engage in therapy have assessed the importance of self-examination to improve their lives and impacts on their relationships with others. Fine piece by @HolmanJenkins and what is needed now is well beyond therapy. Americans and their “leaders” need to get to it.
