My mom once asked me why people put she/her or he/his in their bio and i went on a whole lesson about how we should respect peoples preferred pronouns but then she was like no what are they because she literally didnt know what pronouns were

if you have a filipino friend or colleague you'll notice that they often mix up 'she' and 'he' and that's because the filipino language is already gender neutral to begin with. we're not used to gendered pronouns here.
