A very big shift is coming in the crypto casino(i hope) and that shift **should** bring about good changes for the ecosystem specifically talking about memecoin trading and potentially(?) ICM related business Memecoin trading on chain in a decentralized environment has been tested and proven to work as a casino, it’s an addictive video game, extremely social, extremely enticing and keeps people coming back in for the dopamine hits, keeps bringing the money back in to the ecosystem, exactly like traditional casinos The way that it has been tested though over the past 4-5 years(i’d say nfts included, same shit different ass) has been super ineffective, slow, horrible UX decentralized markets And the fact that it managed to not only withstand these shitty software conditions and limitations, but furthermore attract billions of dollars of both retail and institutional money into the flywheel, capture attention of millions or people goes to show that this social gambling with a twist is just a working concept now we’re at a turning point, no one rly coming into the eco since it has a bad history, so many rugs scams etc, people still driving narratives that this casino isn’t a casino but in fact the future of finance(i’m talking about memecoin trading, not crypto as a whole) I believe A WAY(not the only way) to move forward is for someone to be brave and entrepreneurial enough to accept the casino for a casino and stop trying to grasp on to the irrelevant and unnecessary pieces of the puzzle for one: This casino does not need to live on a blockchain. This small realization of having financial assets that are social in character off chain hasn’t seem to hit anyone yet for some reason and i truly can’t understand why. Legality might be a problem but i’m sure there are ways to persevere Even this one change can lead to changes of mass scale, new forms of marketing, UA, igaming in its pure form, this is a new paradigm in which people can bet their money and play in the casino, why limit the user by needlessly have it on chain? Yes, this is good for crypto tvl and major numba go up but on a microish scale it doesn’t have to be Beyond this, centralizing the launchpads and connected experiences and creating more secluded and controlled environments for token launches that are fully orchestrated and owned by the platforms upon which they are created can help solve the problems of dev rugs, vamping, faggot devs shit like that In well constructed casinos there’s a house that wins, but the house doesn’t rug, in the dynamic that exists today with pump and similar, the house always wins and doesn’t really give a fuck(launchpad) and the smaller house(dev) can win/lose/rug/whatever just depends on the devs morals, this is a broken structure These are just high level thoughts, before i hit send(i never proof read btw) some other comments: - technically this is completely solvable, just a scale problem, nonexistent rly - if the hour is more involved in the process of the launches, theyremore incentivized to create interesting and immersive experiences - crypto vs igaming ux is very weird to me as crypto is unable to solve ux because no one cares, in igaming ux is one of the top priorities bc these people want to make money not just farm tvl and fdv - pf should not go doe the icm narrative if they wanna make more money
