@1ofthemanymatts What if markets can be efficient *and* preserve creator royalties?

What if royalty-based nft markets don't want or need to be efficient? A creator who wants an efficient market can opt out of royalty monetization. Contracts with royalties explicitly opt into this capital "inefficiency", and we should respect that decision.

@theJE11YF15H Another cool thing - the royalty required for withdrawal also uses a floor price oracle. This means if someone uses Forward, and the token significantly appreciates, they are on the hook for a larger royalty if they decide to withdraw the token.

@theJE11YF15H When the listing is created, the vault verifies that the royalty is in the listing using the royalty registry. To prevent people from selling to themselves cheaply (say 0 Eth) and avoiding royalties, we check to make sure the listing price is within a range of the floor.

Finally, despite our best efforts to design a middle-ground, we appreciate that not all creators will agree. And that should be their decision. To that end, we’ve made it possible to opt-out of Forward at the protocol level, and will be providing a simple interface for doing so.
