@org_integral Peter I figured it out. It's not even capitalism. It's the war machine. Most our economies and the global economy itself are downstream from it. If the fucken thing isn't shut down within our lifetimes the planet is toast. Protesting/trying to change anything else is a dead end

@org_integral Moreover: since it's a belief system, to say "capitalism works" is exactly the same thing as to say "Christianity works". There's a bit of truth to it, but at its core this framing is deranged. Belief systems don't "work": guiding principles do.

@org_integral So this perpetuation goes both ways: it goes bottom-up because there are people who share this belief system in the first place, and then it turns others into converts of this religion. Religion does the same thing.

@tedgioia Please consider shifting it somewhere else medium-term. I understand that it's hard and takes time to move your audience anywhere, but Substack is a Nazi money making machine these days, and to share revenue with them is suboptimal to say the least.

I've decided to make sure the source code for Kowloon can't be "accidentally" erased, so I'm going to be literally wearing a backup Git repo server around my neck from now on and backing it up in a rural part of a country that's not the US or the UK.
