@havencon You are one of the main reasons we vended Haven, and this is the second not-for-profit event we have vended where the person who started the even was ousted, we dumped that one also.

@FracturedInfini I cannot say that is not fair. But I also will not tell people what they should/shouldn't do in respects to the event. But if they want to continue with legal action and fight this fight...I don't see how they will pay for both and it could impact the event.

@Angelo_Plvr I would like to avoid legal action, but they are making that less likely by remaining silent. If they willingly surrender the name and the accounts attached to the name, no further action will be taken If not, I will wait for the pending trademark to complete proceed from there

@havencontx Per the articles of incorporation and federal tax filings, the business entity is It's Your Haven Foundation, HavenCon was a name that I created prior to that incorporation and is not registered or owned by the foundation. Thus my trademarking it under my name.

The core issue at hand is that the HavenCon name and assets aren’t ours to give. Legally, these assets don’t belong to individuals: when HavenCon was incorporated as an official nonprofit organization, all these assets became the property of the organization itself.

@havencontx Re-branding would include not using my (pending) trademarked name, which is the core of this dispute. I created the name and have revoked my permission to use the name/images/etc. You have done the opposite by creating new accounts, etc with the same name.

Coincidentally, one of the things we have been working on is rebranding, out of respect to Shane’s request at the very end of June that we stop using the name HavenCon and deliver “all associated assets” to him. He gave us 72 hours to comply to his request that we do so.

@kvetcherkitten Absolutely, I have simply been waiting on a proper DIRECT response from them. Which to date I have not received. Though I guess this all shows their intentions in a round about way. I do still believe it important for those that may be asked to support to know both sides.

@havencon Again, completely unprofessional and tbh, terms for harassment on their end, if they are are going through with taking this up with the legal system to be sorted. If you feel you have the financial backing as you said, and the courts would aide with you, proceed in that manner.
