He didn’t just win the league with them, he won a European Cup and that wasn’t achieved by splashing the cash. He came to Man United, a team that had not won the league in 20 years and turned them into a machine, dominating the league and winning 2 UCL, since he left, they’re yet to recover. Pep met a Man City who had won league titles with Mancini and Pellegrini with owners who were splashing the cash, like I said Pep did a wonderful job at City but please Sir Alex remains “Father”.
