It’s all on purpose. Similarly to how Twitter removed the ability to see likes, it’s all just an effort to stifle meaningful journalism and information gathering.

i once dated someone and we got into a playful argument about why they wouldn’t share location “i’m a very private person, this feels like it’s moving too fast, that’s a big step” months later, after it didn’t work out, we were friends and i said “ok i need your location for logistics” he admitted the real reason he wouldn’t share it was because he never left the house and didn’t want anyone to see

@ysmnramen so it’s not really an issue with the term itself but it’s application? I personally see no issue in its usage when applied in broader strokes towards belief in general

@hitdvm it’s contradictory imo - this idea of ‘deen’ being relegated to rituals, rather than acknowledging the meaning of the term referring to (usually) the code/what we abide by/servitude. People who tend to say ‘deen oriented’ are also fronting a lot but disc for another day
