おかしいな、「レジ修正は1年かかる」と言われてから半年経ったけど、今も「1年かかる」と言われている。 半年、何していた？

BREAKING: Details emerge regarding failed talks between the US and Iran as negotiations end with no deal.
Details include:
1. Talks ended because Iran refused to offer a commitment not to develop a nuclear weapon
2. JD Vance says Iran has "chosen to not accept the US' terms"
3. Iran currently has "no plans" for additional talks with the US, per Iran's Fars News
4. Negotiations lasted for 21 hours and marked the first direct talks between the US and Iran since 1979
It appears the highly anticipated US-Iran talks have collapsed.

Had an interesting discussion with my front-end UI developer. I was asking him why he does not use more claude code to do things faster, and I quickly built a prototype in front of him to show how it was done. He calmly asked me, "Well, if you observe here, this button does not look like the design given in Figma." I said, "It's okay, but look at how fast we quickly built it." Then he told me, "Why is it okay to be fast but wrong with AI, but with me it has to be fast and correct?" 😁

we knew how to make bad code, cheap, and fast, before agentic coding emerged. why didn't we follow that path earlier? it bugs me. why now? we had the knowledge how to build bad code before.

姫騎士は騎士なので、又部分にアーマーの防御力は必要ないんですよ。馬ガードがあるので 作品中で騎馬戦してるかは知らんけど、馬上戦闘用の甲冑ならばそういう理由であのデザインなのです

Раз языковой барьер пал, пора помогать американцам пересесть на метрическую систему. Я не могу понять как такая неудобная система до сих пор существует. Даже человеческие языки со временем становятся проще, так почему неудобная система мер не умирает?

Japan has 9 million abandoned houses. By 2038, it's projected to be 1 in 3. Many of these sell for near-zero prices. The government covers 30–75% of renovation costs. Japan also places no restrictions on foreign property ownership, identical rights to citizens. Only a very specific profile would consider this. But there’s a lot of similarity to Italy's €1 home schemes, which were dismissed as gimmicks and are now attracting serious buyers to villages across Sicily and Sardinia. Japan's abandoned house market is a real entry point for people willing to look past the obvious. In Kyushu, you can also find move-in ready houses for $15,000–20,000 in towns with hot springs, fresh seafood, and Shinkansen access. I will be exploring later this year personally, but quality of life in Japan looks to be incredibly high. Is this one of the most overlooked property plays in Asia right now?

ワイはフルリモ前提でも普通に通勤1時間圏に家を買ったけど、同僚は地方ではないものの2時間圏に買ってしまったので、たまに出社あるとめっちゃ大変そう。フルリモ終わったらヤバいわ。
まあ会社の方もフルリモ前提でオフィス廃止したから出社できんのだけど。

@TETRAN_IT 中学校で習ったのがFM TOWNSのBASICで、次がポケコンのBASICとCで、会社で研修したのがC/C++で、仕事で最初に学んだのは同じくVB+PL/SQLで次いでJava、趣味で学んだのはC++/CLI、次いでC#でした。
親は…誰だろうPL/SQLとJavaの影響が強いです。どっちももう使うことはまずないけど🤔

A trader thinks that the prices of eggs are going to increase, and so he contacts his broker and asks him to buy 1,000,000 egg futures at $1.70
Sure enough, a week later, the price of egg futures is $2.50, and the trader, happy to ride his winners, places an order for 3,000,000 more egg futures
Next month, at $4.30 a piece, he pats himself on the back and restructures his liquid investments to buy another 10,000,000 egg futures
At the end of the quarter, egg futures are trading at $7, and the trader finally calls up his broker and tells him to sell them all
The broker replies: “To who? You’re the egg man!”
