Every Muslim, whether Sunni or Shia, if they have a sincere heart, can feel that pain. You don’t need to convert to shiaism; you just need to seek authentic teachings from both perspectives and act upon them. It really is that simple. Prophet PBUH and Ahl-e-Bait were neither shia nor sunni. They all were simply Muslims.
