iBird Development Update The profile smart contract has been updated and now tracks the total number of users. Several interface bugs have been fixed. Users without a profile can no longer access the chat, they must create a profile first. iBird Development Update A major issue with channels and groups has been fixed. In previous version, channel and group details were stored only in user profiles, making it difficult to access information using shared links or topic IDs. Channel and group information is now sent as the first message inside the topic. This allows anyone with a topic ID to easily view details, follow a channel, or join a group. Sharing links is now simple and fully optimized with improved shielding. iBird Development Update The profile is now complete. It includes the ability to create a new profile, retrieve an existing profile, update profile information, and access the profiles of other users. The next stage of development focuses on the messaging. This will include sending and receiving different types of messages such as simple text messages, threaded conversations, polls, and advertisements. iBird Development Update The profile system has been improved. Creating a profile now requires 3 transactions: 1. Creating the profile topic 2. Adding user information to the topic 3. Minting the NFT Profile Other features such as channels, groups, follows, messages, and ads will each have their own topic. These will only be created when a user interacts with that feature, which reduces transactions at the start and allows the platform to scale as activity grows. An auto-process function is also being developed. When activated, all required transactions run one after another automatically, without the need for the user to click on start each time. iBird Development Update The old architecture used a single shared space called the Explorer. Every message from every user went into this one feed. There was no separation by topic, user, or purpose. The result was a cluttered and slow experience that did not scale. Users had no control, and the feed became noisy and hard to use. The new architecture allows each user to create personal channels and groups. This means users can build their own spaces for specific conversations, projects, or communities. Messages stay organized. Communication becomes focused and relevant. Instead of one overloaded public feed, users get spaces that match their needs. At launch, each user can create up to 60 channels and 60 groups. Each user can also follow up to 60 channels or groups made by others. This follow feature lets users choose what content appears in their feed. It is the start of a social style experience where users control what they see based on their interests. The Explorer still exists as a global public timeline. Anyone can view it, but posting there costs $1 ASSET token per message. This keeps the space clean and valuable. Only users who want wide visibility will choose to post here. It turns the Explorer into a premium area where every post has purpose. A new feature called the Billboard is being added. The Billboard is designed for high visibility messages. It works like a digital advertising board for promotions, announcements, or sponsored content. Posting on the Billboard costs $10 ASSET tokens. The higher cost matches the greater exposure and attention these messages receive. This structure gives the $ASSET token utility. Users must hold and spend tokens to post in public or advertising spaces. Demand for the token comes from actual use on the platform, not just trading. The token becomes necessary for visibility, communication, and promotion. All these features are currently in development. The limits of 60 channels, 60 groups, and 60 follows are starting values. As the platform grows and more users join, these numbers will increase. The architecture is built to scale, and limits will adjust to support more activity and broader adoption over time. iBird Development Progress In the previous profile system, each user had to create an NFT collection named "iBirdProfile" and then mint a token within that collection to store the profile topic ID in the NFT's metadata. This process has now been optimized to make it faster and more efficient. The new profile system utilizes a dedicated Smart Contract that enables each user to mint a unique, non-transferable, and stable iBird profile NFT. This approach reduces the time and network fees for creating a profile by 50%. The remaining components are currently in progress, and the updated version of iBird will launch soon.
