@iburrell @PompeyNev @Pompey To be fair though we only had about 6 versatile non specific attackers, so we did need another one.

@BigPhilHooks @PompeyNev @Pompey But Brown is not really a 9 anyway, just signed as yet another versatile attacker who can play in various roles. In 4 TWs we’ve not signed anyone as direct competition for Colby.

@PompeyNev @Pompey Brown had more efforts on target in one evening that Bishop has had in 6 months. He also has a goal and assist in the last 2 games before last night. He needs a run in the side, Bishop has become an easy target but stats are stats, and he needs taking out of the team for a while.

@PompeyKirbs And all 4 of those are players from the L1 days! Another sign of how poor the recruitment has been under Brad Wall

It’s a damned shame that we’re going to be relegated with a back line of Devlin, Ogilvie, Poole & Swanson. All 4 are easily championship quality & not to blame that we are abysmal at defending set pieces! #Pompey

@JackLJYeats @jeffharris_665 Yeh, you can get in trouble I guess. But Mous usually refers to “the officials” when there are big moments. No one by me on the halfway line was screaming for a red, but maybe you’re in south and had a better view. Still say we didn’t lose cos of the ref.

@iburrell @jeffharris_665 Don’t you get in trouble these days if you call out officials? Red cards are game defining decisions. They have 10 / a penalty puts us firmly in a good position neither team looked like scoring till we gifted them that.

Officials missing a blatant red card but that’s doesn’t surprise me either with Sam Allison how does he keep being given games massive mistakes made by Segecic for their goal what was he thinking?

@JackLJYeats @jeffharris_665 In his interview Mousinho hasn’t even mentioned the ref or this “clear red”. We were the better team today but we shot ourselves in the foot and it was not cos of the ref, let’s get real

@iburrell @jeffharris_665 Didn’t affect the game? Missed a clear red card studded challenge on Cabellero and a penalty / red card incident on bishop. (Red because D.O.G.S.O) One of the worst refs in the EFL, any fan of any team would all agree. We look a competent ST tho 21 shots to their 2!

@BlueArmyAlex @DawnRoberts1 @pn_jordan_cross Yea but, three 0-0s v Stoke, Sheff Utd and Hull would be + 3 pts. We lost cos of individual errors by Matthews, Marlon and Segs. Without those we are in a much stronger position in the table. I can see why JM is frustrated.

@jeffharris_665 Nobody in my Pompey circle has mentioned this “clear red” but anyway, we move on to Blackburn 💙

@HancockAnalysis I like Ali but he tries to do to much. Just beat his man and get the cross or shot off, he doesn't always need to keep running forward or try and take on another man. He already did the hard part.

Portsmouth vs Southampton might just be the best derby in English football. With the help of Sunday's game, I tried to explain its magnificence in lovely list format. inews.co.uk/sport/football…

@RH_PFC Oh 100%! It’s just concerning how it wasn’t noticed. Would like to think he would’ve been asked to re-take had he scored

@mestlea66 @mjwmacca Spot on. Went for young unproven strikers who “offer something different” rather than a proven competitor to Colby, who would’ve cost 7-figures. That was cheap and negligent, considering CB’s medical record and that he’s as liable as any player to lose form or tear a hamstring.

@mjwmacca Not signing a recognised striker is at the heart of the issue. If you can't score, you'll never win - all stems from that. Results will come if a quality 9 is signed. Bishop is so far off it right now. You can argue about everything else one way or another
