Mother’s Milk Is Not Ours 👍 Even Shri Amitabh Bachchan ji has acknowledged a simple truth.. a mother’s milk in the dairy industry is meant for her baby, not for humans. Milk does not come from machines. It comes from a mother who is forcefully bred, separated from her child, and milked for profit. Her baby is deprived of nourishment and love, while we are taught to see milk as “normal” and “essential”. Motherhood is sacred; for every species. Respecting mothers also means respecting the right of animal mothers to feed their own babies. It’s time to question habits, traditions, and industries built on injustice. This order of promoting Sanitary Inspectors as Community Health Officers (CHOs) by DHSK is deeply alarming and represents a clear dilution of professional standards within the healthcare system. The prescribed eligibility for CHOs mandates qualifications such as B.Sc Nursing, BAMS, or BUMS; credentials that ensure the clinical competence required to manage OPDs, deliver patient care, and implement critical health programmes. Appointing individuals without this medical or nursing background undermines the very foundation of primary healthcare delivery. This decision raises fundamental legal and administrative questions. Under what rules or provisions have Sanitary Inspectors been made eligible for or converted into CHOs? Who authorized such a departure from established norms? The absence of clarity reflects a troubling disregard for procedure, merit, and institutional accountability. Sanitary Inspectors are not trained for clinical responsibilities. Assigning them duties that require medical expertise is not only inappropriate but also poses a serious risk to patient safety and the quality of care. Moreover, such actions appear to be in direct violation of the standards set by the Indian Nursing Council and the Jammu and Kashmir Nursing Council, which exist to ensure that only duly trained professionals are entrusted with clinical roles. Bypassing these frameworks erodes both credibility and trust in the healthcare system. At the same time, the continued approval of new private nursing colleges encourages thousands of students to invest heavily in professional education. Denying them fair opportunities while placing non-clinical personnel in these roles exposes a glaring contradiction; raising a fundamental question; Are these students being prepared for employment or pushed towards unemployment? This process reflects a deeper systemic failure. On one hand, professional education is being expanded; on the other, merit and qualifications are being disregarded. Such inconsistency is not merely unfair; it is exploitative and demoralizing for an entire generation of trained healthcare professionals. The appointment of CHOs must be conducted through a transparent, merit-based, and separate recruitment process. Any deviation from this principle sets a dangerous precedent and weakens the integrity of the system. If left unchecked, this practice will damage public trust, compromise healthcare delivery, and lower professional standards across the region. The authorities must clearly state the legal basis of such decisions and ensure strict adherence to established norms. There must be accountability. There must be transparency. Most importantly, this arbitrary decision must be withdrawn immediately to safeguard public health and protect the future of qualified healthcare professionals... Snatching of the house of former CM Mehbooba ji, who doesn’t have her own house, was an attempt to murder by government, yet the CM has deliberately ignored her entitlement after elections. Security is insurance in J&K, non-negotiable. When 90 MLAs are engaged in safeguarding the nation cause, security cannot be compromised. The CM must answer why Sajad Lone was served notice to vacate and @JmuKmrPolice must explain why PCC Chiefs Tariq Qarra’s security was downgraded.
