Es muy loco como hemos normalizado el absurdo. He visto muchos creadores de contenido extranjeros sorprendidos por todas las cosas que han visto que hace el chavismo en Venezuela. No pueden creer todo lo de los policías y militares, no pueden creer la censura periodística, no pueden creer que ayer hubo un evento conmemorando el día de la independencia con muchísimos soldados mientras la gente sigue atrapada entre escombros. Lo increíble de esto es que, ellos son los únicos sorprendidos. El venezolano ni se inmuta. Y no es porque no entendamos la gravedad del asunto, sino que esta ha sido nuestra vida por casi 30 años. Muchos creían que el venezolanos exageraba cuando echaba los cuentos allá donde iban, ahora muchos de afuera se dan cuenta que todo era mucho peor de lo que creían. Hemos perdido la capacidad de medir la magnitud de nuestra desgracia.

Tiene más razón que un santo. Fíjate si estará avanzado el socialismo en EEUU que, ahora, el mayor representante de Washington en Caracas se hace fotos con Diosdado Cabello.

To the Venezuelan People and to the Free Peoples of the World on Venezuela’s Independence Day Today, the Venezuelan people commemorate the 215th anniversary of our Declaration of Independence. We honor the birth of our Republic, the day our liberators made a definitive choice: that this nation would forever be free, sovereign, and independent. Yesterday, the people of the United States celebrated the 250th anniversary of their Declaration of Independence. Mere hours separate these commemorations, reflecting far more than a coincidence of history. They remind us that our nations are bound by the same republican ideals and by a shared commitment to the defense of the free world. Two and a half centuries ago, the United States lit a torch of freedom, proclaiming a timeless truth: that our rights come from our Creator, and that power is legitimate only when derived from the consent of the governed. A few decades later, our own liberators led an unprecedented civil and military endeavor across this continent. They crossed borders, traversed the Andes, and contributed to the founding of other free nations. What would become Venezuela lost nearly a third of its population in the pursuit of its own Freedom and that of the nations of the Americas.
