Illegal working undermines honest employers, undercuts local wages and fuels immigration crime. We’re ramping up raids to the highest levels ever, reducing the pull factors drawing migrants to the UK.

@iAmJoshHunt My mums care home bill totalled £800k which was the house. She was terrified of ending up in a grim council run care home. The sale of her house meant she had enough to self fund and choose a private home.

A lot of people are banking on inheriting their parents’ house as their retirement plan. But their parents are going to need that house to fund their own care. Social care costs can run £50-100k a year. A five year stay in a care home can wipe out the entire value of a property. The wealth transfer that an entire generation is counting on may never arrive

@LancashireCapi1 @iAmJoshHunt Council care homes are grim. If you’re a self funder you choose your care home and it makes a huge difference. Im sure most people would prefer their parent is being well cared for above taking their money

@LED_London @iAmJoshHunt If you do that then you will end up in a council care home which is grim. If you are a self funder you can choose a far nicer home. I’ve been round a few and my god money makes a difference

@iAmJoshHunt Anyone sensible just has their parents transfer their property to them before care is required, then council pays for care.

@hugorifkind The sponsors will have signed off on the headline acts when the tickets first went on sale. They may say they have pulled out, but they will still have had to pay their sponsorship fee

I'd love to know the difference in legal liability between a) freely cancelling a festival due to public uproar and b) cancelling it after the government has revoked your headliner's visa.

@CPhilpOfficial Virtue signalling nonsense. What about all the food stalls, hotels, security staff, bar staff all losing about because of this? An isis leader was welcomed into the uk last week so clearly this is nonsense

Glad the Govt folded quickly and banned Kanye West from entering the UK, as we called for yesterday Spouting antisemitic hatred has no place here Those espousing hatred shouldn’t be allowed in & those here already spouting hatred who are not British citizens should be deported

Kanye West should never have been invited to headline Wireless. This government stands firmly with the Jewish community, and we will not stop in our fight to confront and defeat the poison of antisemitism. We will always take the action necessary to protect the public and uphold our values.

@GeorgiaPeachy97 @naomirwolf Yes! natural meno is all about looking after your health to be vibrant into old age. My mum took HRT for years and died of Alzheimer’s and had oesteoperosis she also looked far older. The body needs to change to focus on longevity and repair not reproduction.

@naomirwolf Keep hearing about all these menopause symptoms from my friends and I’m wondering why none of it has ever hit me? I have been taking Juice plus for over 25 years, and use essential oils, including one that contains wild yam. Perhaps good nutrition can keep symptoms at bay?

@b3l_Air @ValerieAnne1970 Follow your instinct to be with your baby and ignore the pressure of the world telling you that you have to work to be valuable. Raising a well balanced child is an incredible contribution to the world. And it is SO worth it. You will never regret your decision

@ValerieAnne1970 For me, with a 7 month old, the guilt for wanting to stay at home and be with my baby is unbelievably present. It feels like a huge luxury. However his need for me outweighs this fabricated feeling because I recognise it's origins.

Jordan Peterson shares a truth most modern families don’t want to hear: “Daycare under three — especially in the first year — is really not advisable. There isn’t any form of care that can replace a mother’s care in those early years.” He calls it “quite remarkable” that we’ve engineered a world where staying home with young children has become a luxury for most families — “as if by design.” Decades of unchanged research shows the critical attachment window in the first 3 years is uniquely supported by consistent, responsive maternal care. Disruptions here correlate with measurable increases in stress reactivity, behavioral issues & emotional difficulties. The question that is frightening to ask: Have we made motherhood incompatible with economic survival on purpose? Parents (especially moms of young kids): Do you feel this pressure — that staying home feels like a luxury you can’t afford? Or have you seen the difference in your own children between early daycare vs. being home those first years?

@mavesu1 @ValerieAnne1970 I did it and managed by moving to cheaper area Stopped extra spends like takeaway food, coffees, alcohol, holidays, shopping. Loads of people will give you child clothes, cot, toys etc. It’s only a few years after all.

@ValerieAnne1970 @naomirwolf It was hard staying home in those first years and losing the status and the money that I had with my career. it was worth it. I have an amazing teen daughter who is secure, happy, loving and I know those early years made all the difference. I picked my career back up no problem

@lukejcr So many women can’t afford to have children or have to go back to work after a few months because of cost of living and taxation under this government. I am sure working parents would prefer less tax and screw a couple of days of paternity leave

Imagine holding your newborn child. And being told you have to go straight back to work, simply because you’ve just started a new job. That ends today. For all those hardworking parents who were denied those first precious days: Labour has delivered day one parental leave.

@rosie_eats @JibbaJabb I’d have to pay in £300-£500k to get a teachers pension of £16k a year. So I hear it’s tough for you now but at least you’ll have a good retirement along with council workers, doctors, civil servants but the rest of us in the private sector are screwed!

@newstart_2024 Brith control pill leads to IVF leads to horrid menopause so leads to HRT. Pharma know this and want women to be customers from puberty to the grave. My mother took hrt. She died of dementia and she had oesteoperosis. I’m going the natural route thanks but I don’t want the drugs

Megyn Kelly just got brutally honest about HRT: “I’m on it and I love it.” She says it completely fixed her dry eye, cleared brain fog, improved her skin, and made her feel vibrant again — things she had no idea were hormone-related. Her attitude? “I’m going down swinging.” No shame in doing what actually works as you get older. Josh Duhamel backed her up, saying she’s the perfect poster child for it and the science is there. It’s one of the most refreshing takes I’ve heard on a topic people usually tiptoe around. Have you (or someone you know) tried HRT and seen real changes?

Unfortunately these mold tests are bogus and you probably never had any issue related to mold. But on the other hand, I’m glad the changes you made worked! Everyone will test positive for mycotoxins w a urine test and the inflammatory markers tested by eg moldco are totally nonspecific. Mold is ubiquitous so home air samples will pretty much always test positive also, and it says nothing. pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC45… aaaai.org/tools-for-the-…
