I’m honestly really proud of Virginia. Abigail Spanberger won by ~15 points last year for several reasons, but this redistricting referendum was incredibly close — 51% Yes to 49% No, with more than 1.46 million Virginians voting NO.
The outcome sucks, but the referendum expires in 2030. What people should take away from this is that Americans are not on board with partisan power-grab games. We want fair, equal representation.

Thank you to all the voters who turned out to vote against this egregious power grab. The race was much closer than the left expected because Virginians know a 10-1 map is not Virginia. I urge the Virginia Supreme Court to rule against this unconstitutional process that will disenfranchise millions of Virginians.
