Like it or not, you have a personal brand. Your personality shapes it offline, while your social media defines it online. You might lose your job, your girl, your friends and everything else, but not your reputation! Build it. Grow it. Protect it. Join growthguild.xyz

I was one of the first to get an internship in my college, one of the first to secure a job, and the first among my peers to get promoted. But was I the best at anything in college or at work? No. I was just an above-average guy who knew how to act like a friend when needed and a responsible employee when it mattered. Being the best at something is rarely the defining trait of a successful person. More often, it’s about being good enough at enough things. Now, I’m not saying I’d prefer a full-stack dev for a frontend role over a frontend specialist. What I’m saying is, I’d choose a frontend specialist whom I know is good enough, over the best frontend developer in the world whom I don't know at all. I know many top-tier devs from Code Samaaj whom the world doesn’t recognize. Being excellent at what you do should theoretically protect you from the dreaded “job-hunting phase” after a layoff, but in reality, it doesn’t. Similarly, having the best product in the market should shield you from the “no-customers-but-cash-is-burning” phase. Unfortunately, the real world doesn’t work that way either. This needs to change. And for that, you need to: Be recognized. Have social proof. Be influential. Here’s a quick example from my journey: I received a 100% hike offer from another company just 2–3 months after joining my first job. The opportunity came through a friend of a friend, thanks to networking. The moment my bond period ended, I quit to focus on building a strong personal brand and network. Building Code Samaaj was a part of that journey. In December last year, I received an acqui-hire offer of over ₹0.5 crore for Code Samaaj. Over the past year, I haven’t done any outreach for freelance work, yet I consistently get inbound leads—some of which I refuse, while others I delegate to the community. I’ve been invited to podcasts, received speaking invitations, and, most importantly, a lot of love from all of you—all thanks to Twitter. My personal brand has been like a duck that lays golden eggs for me. And now, I want to share access to that duck with you. Join the Growth Guild. (Link in the first comment.)

How to build a personal brand that pays $$: → document your journey in a way ppl can replicate → be transparent about the results → help others avoid your mistakes → build an email list of your followers → monetize through courses, consulting, or products audience = asset

THESE TWO TYPES OF CREATORS MAKE A LOT OF MONEY: Type 1: - polished brand, perfect content calendar - optimized hooks, funnels, and CTAs - schedules everything weeks in advance - has editors, ghostwriters, and managers - dream: hit $1M ARR by 30 Type 2: - messy notes app, tweets from the phone - still ships honest, high-signal content - grows through real conversations and DMs - mixes creation with life, travel, late nights - dream: freedom, peace, and people who actually care both make bank, but guess who’s happier and touches more grass 🌿

There are only 3 ways of earning money on X: - X payout - brand deals - own products For X payouts you need to max out on all the metrics and try to keep the reader on ur content and thus on X. For brand deals, you need to max out on having a reputation among your readers. Metrics doesn't really matter. For selling your own product you need to max out on goodwill among your readers. Relationship is the most important here. Which method attracts you more?

> Tarun got 9.8 CGPA, bagged a Netflix internship. > Vivek barely passed, joined TCS. > Rohan spent all his time posting on X, Base App and Zora. Tarun codes in his sleep and wasn't able to spend Xmas with his fam, Vivek barely knows Git but is living with his parents who believe he'll never get a girl... and Rohan now makes $1,200/month from X payouts, another $1,000 from brand collabs and is the most trending creator on Base app and earned $50k in just a few days when his creator coin went viral but his relatives call him unemployed.

underrated growth hack: be a reply guy the algorithm does not care how smart your threads are. (unfortunately) but it cares about how often your name shows up where people already look. sharp replies get more attention than average standalone posts, especially when you're just starting out. consistency in comments builds familiarity very quickly. familiarity eventually turns into followers.

small creators are the real hidden gems here. they show up every day, create without validation, and keep pushing even when nobody claps. ignoring these people is a huge mistake. they're usually the ones who take off out of nowhere and end up leading the next wave. if you're serious about growing in this space, start meeting people who are grinding at your level. that’s where the strongest networks are built.

I never thought of building my personal brand as a task. I just wanted to chase the high of vanity metrics. It was only after hitting 10–15k followers that it dawned on me, I should actually build a personal brand. That’s when I started noticing people recognizing me. After that, I hardly cared about likes, reposts, or any of that stuff. All I cared about was creating good content and making good friends.

growing on X is a shitty process you don’t really understand how growth works here until you get burnt for the first time. not when a post flops, but when your months of effort suddenly stop paying off. when you realize consistency isn’t enough, virality is random, and people follow people, not posts. everyone wants to grow fast, until they see how unpredictable and draining it actually is. I hope one day we all learn to grow with clarity instead of chasing numbers, but for now, this is the game.

X growth hack: > Reply on a big account's post > Get a reply on your reply > Algo starts putting your posts on the big accounts timeline only possible if the notifs are on, cuz getting a reply back from these creators are almost impossible after an hour of posting lol...

There are two ways to grow your X account: Type 1 - controversies - engagement baits - shitposts - ragebaits - chasing bangers Type 2 - building in public - highly researched and curated content - occasional authority posts - well articulated and genuine opinions - making a network/community Type 1 grows fast, but struggles with monetization and brand building while type 2 grows slow and will struggle with the motivation to post and keep going.. but the ones who strike a balance between these two, grow superfast to become KOLs and earn $10k to $100k in sponsorships and promotions... would you rather grow slow with quality content or grow fast without a brand?

II’ve been earning more than a TCS employee just from my X payouts, and now my earnings have more than tripled. I’ve been tracking every pay period to understand what’s actually driving these numbers so that you can learn from it and start earning on X too. Here are my latest stats compared with the previous pay periods:

Building your personal brand is the best decision you'll make. I've said this 100 times before and I'll say it 100 more times until I see all the people on my TL winning The opportunities from it alone should make it worth your while to put some effort in Yes it may take time, months, years, but if you know how to do it well, you'll get there eventually I've seen creators who've only started pushing content a few months ago that are already getting insane deals and jobs So there's no way you can complain it's only 'big creators', because it isn't Get started now and you'll thank yourself later

Being sexy will make you money. It pays—literally—for both men and women to look good. Most people won’t say it out loud because the world prefers fairytales over reality. But the truth is, attractive people statistically earn more. So stop ignoring your looks: buy better clothes, keep yourself groomed, hit the gym, smell nice and eat clean.
