🧵Be safe during hot weather. People who work outside should take frequent breaks to cool off. Limit outdoor work to earlier in the day when it is cooler outside. In Oregon, employees must have access to water, rest and shade on hot days. Call 211 or visit 211info.org

Unfortunately, most of us walking around aren’t aware of what to do if we find ourselves in a sinking vehicle. Fear & panic will set in, costing us precious time. Take the time to learn what the steps are & coach you & your loved ones on them. Here’s what you need to do ⬇️:

So far today, we have restored power to 49,489 customers, with 135,611 remaining (as of 9:30 p.m.). We have more than 300 crew members, contractors and other personnel working to restore power as quickly as safety allows — with additional crews expected Sunday. Given the extent of damage and conditions that continue to cause damage, we will continue making repairs and assessing new damage through the night. Restoration efforts will continue through the weekend; customers are encouraged to plan accordingly. Our priority is always the safety of our workers, customers and communities. We appreciate customers’ patience and we’re working as quickly as safety allows. For more info, visit link in bio portlandgeneral.com/winter-storm-i….
