A big change happened in web3gaming in the last months. A lot of people are wondering why it couldn't take off as much as AI did, this cycle, yet. It's because Web3 Gaming is not connected to speculation anymore. The game is about Product Market Fit now. a Deep Dive ✍️ It's important to note that there were certain winners, that did really well this cycle as well. Like @pixels_online & @MaviaGame. What made them bigger in valuation more than the rest of the launched tokens, is: they found their PMF. Product Market Fit. Real growth, not based on speculation. User numbers, playtime. The market now values games that are being played a lot. In 2021, we've seen how games without the user numbers grow too, completely based on speculation and hype. That is happening a lot less in gaming now, whereas in AI, currently people base stuff mostly on speculation. So without the user numbers, AI, because it's new, and hot, it gets the wind of speculation, just like web3 gaming did in 2021. I have come to terms with this change. We now need web3 games to be well prepared in advance, and focus on user growth more than anything else. That means having a great game loop, that won't fizzle out once play to airdrop campaigns are over. It also means, being well funded to be able to spend a lot on marketing, and growth continuously until PMF is found. The sustainable days of web3 gaming is here with this shift in the market, the expectations have been matured. Let's now focus our goals on the games that can reach Product Market Fit, and double down on supporting them. Peace 🤘
